Former US President Barack Obama criticized Donald Trump for his involvement in the cryptocurrency business. Speaking at a rally in support of Democratic gubernatorial candidate Abigail Spanberger of Virginia, Obama accused President Trump of playing along with his «billionaire friends and financial partners» in cryptocurrency deals.
Obama claimed that Trump was expanding his family’s cryptocurrency business without regard for the overall state of the US economy. He then asked his audience if they felt their lives were improving as the Trump family’s fortunes improved.
According to the former president, under the Trump administration, every day feels like Halloween. On the one hand, he could have foreseen this, but on the other, he never imagined things would get so bad under the current administration.
Obama recalled that members of the Trump family, through the company World Liberty Financial, earn hundreds of millions of dollars, receiving them not only from American companies.
Moreover, he emphasized that the Trump family benefits from wealthy foreign citizens who invest in companies controlled by his family in order to gain the president’s favor.
Obama is confident that President Trump will continue to distract American voters from real issues with his social media posts and to demonstrate his superiority.
He emphasized that the current US president publishes messages that help the rich and powerful become even more wealthy, while citizens who took to the streets to protest deserve nothing more than to be sprayed with manure from an airplane.
