By September 30, the number of Bitcoin ATMs had almost reached 40,000.

In the third quarter of 2025, the number — ATMs worldwide increased by more than 600 machines, continuing the steady growth seen in the first half of the year, when more than 1000 new devices were installed.

For the third quarter of 2025, the total number Bitcoin-ATMs increased from 38,726 on July 1 to 39,374 on September 30, representing a net increase of 648 devices worldwide.

In other words, on average, 7 new crypto ATMs were launched every day, about 34 every week, and more than 210 every month.

It is noteworthy that more than half of the new BitcoinATMs, or more precisely, 386, were installed in the United States. The upward trend began in the second quarter, when 513 new ATMs were installed in the country, bringing the total number to 30,447.

This growth over the past two quarters is particularly significant given the overall decline of 185 ATMs in the first quarter, when the number fell to 29,934.

These changes are likely due to the Trump administration’s more pro-cryptocurrency policies.

Australia also saw growth, with 132 new ATMs installed across the continent. Australia also led the way in previous quarters, adding 272 new ATMs in the first quarter and another 219 in the second.

In contrast, the number of ATMs in the European market fell by 25. Interestingly, 86 ATMs were installed in the first quarter, and another 63 in the second.

Canada also posted a negative quarterly loss of six ATMs. Meanwhile, 122 new ATMs were added to the Canadian market in the first quarter and 123 in the second.
