Creator Cardano (ADA) believes that US President Donald Trump has harmed the cryptocurrency industry with his actions.
There’s a widespread belief among members of the crypto community that Trump’s election victory benefited the digital asset industry and led to a loosening of regulations on virtual currencies. To reassure everyone of the successes achieved under Donald, White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt recently announced the official end of the war on cryptocurrencies unleashed by former US President Joe Biden.
However, Hoskinson wasn’t sold on this populist claim and negatively assessed the consequences of Donald’s rise to power. In a recent interview, he noted:
The very moment the Trump memecoin was released, the narrative changed from “cryptocurrency is supported by both parties” [Republican and Democratic] to “kriptovalyuta=Trump=bad=corruption.» This concept runs like a red thread throughout the campaign leading up to the 2026 midterm elections.
According to Charles, other prominent crypto industry figures are keeping quiet about Donald’s detrimental influence on the digital asset industry, pursuing selfish motives. However, Hoskinson believes the situation will change once the Democrats take power.
«We were told, ‘Keep quiet. Don’t say anything about this, or you’ll lose access. You won’t be able to meet with the president or participate in the legislative process,'» Charles added.
