Linea’s Layer 2 network has restored the main network sequencer to normal operation after a temporary performance degradation.
According to the network’s page, the issue was discovered early this morning. Engineers identified the root cause and deployed a fix in less than an hour.
The outage is known to have affected the part of Linea that is responsible for ordering and grouping transactions on the network. Although the nature of the performance issues was not specified, the developers confirmed that the network resumed operation after a 46-minute interval between blocks 23,145,386 and 23,145,387.
The fix has been deployed and we are monitoring the results, the team said.
The failure occurred on the day of the launch of the Linea token, which is scheduled to be listed on exchanges this evening.
The blockchain also encountered a problem in its work Polygon. The failure turned out to be more widespread and has been going on for several hours. At the time of publication of this article, there was no information about the restoration of the network.
Despite the fact that Block Polygon continues to operate and generate blocks, a number of RPC providers and validators had to roll back to the last completed block and resynchronize. The blockchain team confirmed that the bug prevents the node from operating in certain configurations.
